Comments

Comment (Production): PLACER DEPOSITS ACCOUNT FOR ABOUT 400 TONS OF THE TOTAL ORE PRODUCED.

Comment (Location): ACCURATE LOCATION IS FOR THE RINCON MINE AS SHOWN ON SHEET 1 OF NMBMMR BULL 101.

Comment (Deposit): MANGANESE OCCURS IN EIGHT OR MORE STEEPLY DIPPING FISSURES OR FRACTURES WHICH RANGE IN STRIKE FROM NORTH TO N 60 W. THE MAIN FISSURE, WHICH PRODUCED MOST OF THE ORE, STRIKES N 60 W. THE ORE SHOOTS RANGED FROM 1 FT. TO 5 FT. IN WIDTH AND FROM A FEW FEET TO 100 FT. IN LENGTH. FIVE UNPATENTED CLAIMS WERE LOCATED IN 1952 AND THREE PLACER CLAIMS, MINERAL SURVEY NUMBERS 1788 AND 1789, WERE PATENTED IN 1919.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS AT THE MAIN VEIN WERE REPORTED IN 1961 TO CONSIST OF TWO SHAFTS, FIVE OPENCUTS AND TWO ADITS.

Comment (Geology): HAYNER RANCH FM. OCCURS IN THE LOWER PART OF THE SANTA FE GROUP.
