Comment (Location): LOCATION IS ACCURATE FOR THE APACHE NO. 2 SHAFTS. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1979

Comment (Production): JAHNS (1946) REPORTS PRODUCTION OF OVER 2,500 POUNDS THUMB-TRIMMED PLATE AND PUNCH MICA AND 80 TONS OF SCRAP MICA SINCE 1900. IN 1943 MORE THAN 100 POUNDS OF TRIMMED SHEET MICA, 15 TO 20 TONS OF SCRAP MICA AND NEARLY 100 POUNDS OF BISMUTITE WERE PRODUCED.

Comment (Deposit): THE DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF THREE PEGMATITE DIKES - THE SOUTH SANDOVAL, NORTH SANDOVAL AND THE SANDOVAL EXTENSION. JAHNS (1946) GIVES A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF ALL THREE PEGMATITES.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF SEVERAL OPEN CUTS, PITS, STOPES AND ONE 75 FT SHAFT.

Comment (Geology): THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN THE PETACA SCHIST MEMBER OF THE ORTEGA QUARZITE.
