Comment (Deposit): THE DEPOSITS ALL OCCUR AS CONCRETIONARY NODULES IN FLAT-LYING SANDSTONE. THEY ARE USUALLY FOUND CAPPING LOW KNOLLS.
Comment (Workings): ALL OF THE MINES IN THE DISTRICT WERE MINED WITH A PLOW OR BULLDOZER IN OPENCUTS.
Comment (Geology): THE CUBA MANGANESE DISTRICT IS THE ONLY LOCALITY IN THE STATE WHERE THE MANGANESE FORMED EITHER DURING OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER DEPOSITION OF THE HOST ROCK.
