Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Workings): DEPTH OF WORKINGS WERE 1400 FT IN 1905
Comment (Deposit): THE MINE WORKS A NUMBER OF VEINS: THE MOUNTAIN VIEW SOUTH VEIN (AN EASTERN SEGMENT OF THE ANACONDA LODE); THE SHANNON VEIN; THE JOHNSTOWN VEIN; AND A NUMBER OF N-S VEINS BELONGING TO THE MOUNTAIN VIEW SYSTEM. ALL OF THESE VEINS ARE CUT AND DISPLACED BY THE MOUNTAIN VIEW FAULT VEIN, OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BLUE VEIN SYSTEM AND THE STEWARD SYSTEM, WITH ACCOMPANYING ENRICHMENT OF ORES. GREAT ORE BODIES WERE ALSO FOUND ALONGFAULT FISSURES. OXIDATION OCCURS DOWN TOO 500 FT BENEATH THE SURFACE. TTHE ENARGITE ORES ARE LESS OXIDIZED THAN THE GLANCE-PYRITE ORES.
Comment (Location): ON THE SUMMIT OF ANACONDA HILL-NOT THERE NOW
Comment (Production): LARGE PRODUCER LATE 1880 THROUGH EARLY 1900'S.
