Comments
Comment (Geology): THE PRECAMBRIAN HAS NO FORMAL NAME IN THIS AREA.
Comment (Deposit): MANY PEGMATITES CROP OUT IN THE AREA. THE REGIONAL STRIKE IS N 25 E WITH LOCAL VARIATIONS OF 25 DEGREES. THE PEGMATITE CONSISTS OF MEDIUM TO COARSE-GRAINED FELDSPARS AND PODS OF ANHEDRAL QUARTZ. MUSCOVITE OCCURS IN VEINLIKE CONCENTRATIONS AT CONTACTS BETWEEN QUARTZ AND FELDSPAR AND IN BOOKS SPARSELY DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT THE PEGMATITE. GARNET, MAGNETITE, AND COLUMBITE ARE SPARSELY SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE PEGMATITE.
Comment (Workings): THERE ARE NUMEROUS TRENCHES AND PROSPECT PITS ARE IN THE AREA. TWO ADITS, 92 AND 133 FEET LONG, ARE IN THE SE 1/4, SEC. 1, T18N, R 10 E.
Comment (Location): LOCATION IS ACCURATE FOR THE COMMON CORNER OF SECTIONS 1 AND 12, T18N, R10E AND SECTIONS 6 AND 7, T 18N, R11E. THERE IS NO UTM GRID IN THIS AREA. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1979
