MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): SEVERAL LITHIUM - BEARING PEGMATITES CROP OUT IN AMPHIBOLITE. THE DIKES ARE NORTH- TRENDING AND HAVE A STEEP DIP. THEY RANGE FROM A FEW INCHES TO 20 FEET WIDE AND UP TO 150 FEET LONG. THE INNER ZONES ARE LENTICULAR AND ARE COMPOSED OF QUARTZ AND PERTHITE AND THE OUTER ZONES ARE MOSTLY ALBITE, LEPIDOLITE AND MUSCOVITE. ACCESSORY MINERALS INCLUDE AMBLYGONITE, TOPAZ, APATITE, SPESSARTITE AND MICROLITE. ANHEDRAL BERYL AND RHABDOPHANITE HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO HAVE OCCURED IN THE PAST.
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF THE 55-FOOT PIDLITE SHAFT AND DRIFTS LEADING OFF FROM IT, AND AN 125-FT ADIT DRIVEN IN A DIKE NEAR THE GRAVITY SEPERATION MILL BUILT IN 1961. THERE ARE SEVERAL BULLDOZER CUTS ALONG THE DIKES
Comment (Geology): THE PRECAMBRIAN PEGMATITES HAVE NO FORMAL NAMES IN THIS AREA.
Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: 1930'S
Comment (Location): LOCATION IS ACCURATE FOR THE PIDLITE SHAFT. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1979
