THE JASPEROID LIES IMMEDIATELY BENEATH A SILL OF 'BIRD EYE PORPHYRY: THE ORE FOLLOWED VERY IRREGULAR, GENERALLY NORTH-EASTERLY FISSURES IN THE JASPEROID. SHALES AREGREENISH GRAY TO BLACK, PULVERIZED, CARBONACEOUS, KAOLIMITIC, SERICITIC AND SILICEOUS. EFFECTS OF LIMONITIZATION ARE COMMON ON HOSTROCKS. VEINS OF CALCITE AND QUARTZ HAVE IMPREGNATED THE WALLROCKS.
