Comment (Geology): THE LEEDS SANDSTONE IS WHITE AND FINE - GRAIN AND GRADES LATERALLY INTO A SANDSTONE CONTAINING ABUNDANT CLAY BALLS. SOUTH END OF THE LEEDS MINE IS A LENS OF SANDSTONE WITH MALACHITE REPLACEMENTS OF FOSSIL PLANTS.
Comment (Workings): THE LEEDS NO. 2 MINE HAS ABOUT 300 FT OF WORKINGS IN TWO SHAFTS. THE LEEDS MINE HAS A 150 FT ADIT AND A SHAFT.
