Comment (Location): THE AREA INCLUDES THE SOUTH THOMPSON, THOMPSON, COBB, NEWTON, NICHOLS AND MCNALLY MINES.
Comment (Deposit): TWO SILVER BEARING HORIZONS IN THE AREA.
Comment (Workings): THE AREA INCLUDES 4000 FT OF WORKINGS. EACH MINE HAS AN ADIT. THE THOMPSON ADIT IS 200 FT LONG WITH A 160 FT INCLINE. THE COBB INCLINE SHAFT IS 500 FT DEEP.
Comment (Geology): THE SANDSTONE IS WHITE AND FINE-GRAIN. AT THE SOUTH THOMPSON MINE, THE SANDSTONE CONTAINS 1/8 TO 1/2 INCH CLAY GALLS. AT THE COBB MINE, THE SANDSTONE CONTAINS GREEN TO GRAY CLAY GALLS AND BALLS UP TO ONE FOOT THICK. AT THE NICHOLS MINE, THE SILVER ORE OCCURS IN HIGHLY SLICKENSLIDED FRACTURES OF A "SOAPSTONE" BED. IN THE NEWTON MINE, FOUR FEET ABOVE THE SILVER BEARING ZONE IS A 2 - 5 FEET BED OF MALACHITE - AZURITE PLANT REPLACEMENTS.
