Comments

Comment (Commodity): ASSAY REPORT; AG - 0.1/TON, AU 0.01/TON

Comment (Workings): THERE IS A 1 RM. CABIN ON THE CLAIM. TWO SHAFTS WERE DUG AND FOUND THAT THEY WERE MISLOCATED. THE CLAIMANT CONSIDERATELY FILLED THE SHAFTS BACK UP.

Comment (Location): Original political location in record is Broadwater county. However, lat/long and PLSS coordinates plot 2 km inside adjacent Meagher county. The coordinates lie 80 meters SSE of a mineshaft symbol on USGS topo map. Verbal description of location, 1/4 MILE S OF DEMOCRAT GULCH AND 1 1/4 MILE ESE OF ELK CREEK, is contradictory because Elk Creek likes south and east of Democrat Gulch. However, the first part of the description, 1/4 mile south of Democrat Gulch, is consistent with the lat/long and mineshaft symbol. Both Democrat Gulch and Elk Creek lie entirely in Meagher county. Duplicate record 10305451 states Meagher county. Otherwise the duplicate record is mostly derivative and its lone reference indicates the source is MRDS. This record's reference will be difficult to check. The evidence indicates the lat/long is correct so the county name was changed to Meagher.
