Comments

Comment (Production): TOTAL PRODUCTION FIGURES NOT AVAILABLE BUT 12 TO 13 MILLION DOLLARS IS A FAIR ESTIMATE JUDGING FROM KNOWN OUTPUT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. RICHEST PART WAS 1000 FT DOWN FROM SURFACE WHERE ORE AVERAGED $27 A TON. FIVE HUNDRED FOOT ORE SHOOT BOTTOMED BETWEEN 1700 AND 1800 FT WITH ORE VARYING GREATLY. AVERAGE GRADE ASSAYED ABOUT $35 A TON.

Comment (Workings): TWO VEINS CALLED 'BOULDER LEDGE' AND 'TRUE LEDGE' WERE WORKED. THE 'BOULDER LEDGE' WAS ON WEST, 15 TO 20 FT THICK YIELDING $10 A TON, HAVING BEST GRADE BETWEEN 800 AND 1350 FT LEVELS. 'TRUE LEDGE' VARIED FROM 3 TO 15 FT IN THICKNESS IN THE MIDDLE LEVELS, AND WAS MUCH HIGHER GRADE.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MAIN VEIN HAD SLATE FOOTWALL, HEAVY GOUGE, AND META-ARDESITE HANGING WALL.

Comment (Deposit): THIS CLAIM ADJOINS THE CENTRAL EUREKA MINE. OWNERS OF THE CENTRAL EUREKA PURCHASED THIS PROPERTY AROUND 1926 , AND CONNECTED THE TWO WORKINGS BY AN UPPER ADIT. OLD EUREKA DISCOVERED 1852 , SUCCESSFULLY OPERATING UNTIL 1881 . THE DEPTH OF THE MINE WAS THEN 1965 FT.
