JONES, FORMER OWNER AND DEVELOPER OF THE PROPERTY, STATES THAT ASSAYS OF SAMPLES TAKEN DURING WWI RAN 48 PERCENT MANGANESE AND 6 PERCENT SILICA.

Comment (Workings): SHAFT 30 FT. DEEP FROM WHICH AN OPEN CUT 20 FT. LONG RUNS S. 35 DEG. E. A DRIFT. 4 FT. WIDE AND 12 FT. LONG HAS BEEN RUN TOWARD THE WEST FROM THE SHAFT

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MASSIVE, MANGANIFEROUS META-CHERT; ORE IS CHIEFLY BOTRYOIDAL AND NODULAR PSILOMELANE WITH SOME PYROLUSITE. THE MASSIVE METACHERT IS ENCLOSED IN RHYTHMICALLY BEDDED METACHERTS; BEDS 1 IN TO 3 FT. THICK; SEPARATED BY ORIGINAL SHALY PARTINGS; AT LEAST 50' WIDE.
