Comment (Production): GOLD BEING PRODUCED FROM TROUGH OF CHANNEL; 13 MEN EMPLOYED. 300' VERTICAL SHAFT; 550' DRIFT N ON THE EAST RIM; WINZE BEING SUNK TO BOTTOM OF CHANNEL. WORKED PRIOR TO 1901; DRIFTS RUN 1902; IDLE 1903-16; DEWATERING AND DEVELOPMENT 1934-35.
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: THE GRAVEL IS SLIGHTLY CEMENTED. BEDROCK CONSISTS OF MINERALIZED SLATE, WHICH IS OF LITTLE VALUE. THE SMALL AMOUNT OF DEVELOPMENT COMPLETED BY DEC. 1935 SHOWED THAT THE RIM GRAVEL CONTAINED GOLD IN FINE SIZES, WITH CONSIDERABLE BLACK SAND AND IRON SULPHIDES, WITH MINOR OSMIUM, PLATINUM.
