Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: BED OF MANGANESE OXIDE 1-6' THICK EXPOSED FOR A LENGTH OF 31'; ORE IS ENCLOSED IN THICK-BEDDED, WHITE TO YELLOWISH-BROWN CHERT. STRIKE RANGES FROM N. 30 DEG.-35 DEG. W., AND DIP FROM 70 DEG. NE TO 45 DEG. SW. MANGANESE ORE IS MAINLY HARD, BRITTLE BLUE-BLACK PSILOMELANE; AVERAGE GRADE IS ABOUT 40% MANGANESE. SOME ORE CONTAINS OXIDIZED LIGHT BROWN MN CARBONATE (RHODOCROSITE),BEMENTITE, AND SOME BROWN OPALINE MATERIAL WHICH MAY BE RELATED TO NEOTOCITE.

Comment (Production): MAIN DEVELOPMENT IS A T-SHAPED OPEN CUT 31' LONG, 3-5' WIDE, AND UP TO 10' DEEP; SEVERAL OTHER CUTS.
