MOST OF ORE MINED AT 150 FT LEVEL DURING LATER OPERATIONS, NO DEEP DEVELOPMENT UNDER TAKEN. GLORY HOLE OVER 50 FT LEVEL NUMEROUS CROSSCUTS, DRIFTS, RAISES ETC

Comment (Geology): VEIN IN CALAVERAS FMN CONSISTS LOCALLY OF LIMESTONE, SCHIST AND SERPENTINE INTRUDED BY DIORITE.

Comment (Deposit): VEIN, VEIN IS CHRUSHED DIORITE DIKE AND CONTAINS INCLUSIONS OF HOST ROCK (SCHHIST). AT 100 FT MINE LEVEL VEIN 40 - 50 FT THICK. AT 300 FT LEVEL FOOTWALL IS HARD BLACK DIKE WITH MARBLE BETWEEN IT AND VEIN, ON HANGING WALL TO N THERE IS GROUND-UP QUARTZ WITH SUCCESSIVE LAYERS OF SERPENTINE, LIMESTONE AND BLACK SCHIST
