Comment (Workings): 120' CROSSCUT TUNNEL DRIVEN TO THE VEIN; 300' DRIFT RUN ON THE VEIN--ENCOUNTERED CAVED GROUND IN AN OLD SHAFT.
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: LODE GOLD. THE VEINS ARE SMALL BUT RICH; FISSURES HAVE A BRANCHING TENDENCY. GRANITE DIKES ACCOMPANY ALL THE VEINS. FORMATION IS MICA SCHIST AND QUARTZITE; THE DIKE ROCK AT TIMES APPEARS TO CUT THE QUARTZ OUT ENTIRELY.
