Comment (Production): WORKED ON SMALL SCALE DURING WWI AND IN 1943. WORKED DURING FIRST HALF OF 1953. THE MINE, WHICH HAS YIELDED SEVERAL HUNDRED TONS OF CHROME ORE, IDLE SINCE 1953. ACCORDING TO CHALMERS, IN 1953 THE CR2O3 CONTENT OF THE ORE WAS ABOUT 20 PERCENT.

Comment (Workings): OPEN PIT, 300 FT. LONG BY 200 FT. WIDE, 30 FT. DEEP IN 1953.

Comment (Deposit): SMALL AMOUNTS OF UVAROVITE AND KAMMERERITE ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CHROMITE. SEVERAL SMALL DIKES OF PYROXENITE CUT THE ORE.
