Comment (Production): A PRODUCTION OF 568 TONS DURING 1941-52 AVERAGED 50.5 PERCENT CR2O3 WITH A CHROMIUM-IRON RATIO OF 2.82. IDLE SINCE JULY, 1944. SOME ORE LEFT BUT COST OF MINING BECAME PROHIBITIVE.

Comment (Deposit): ORE MINED IN SERPENTINE TO A DEPTH OF 70 FT. THE ORE IS FINE-GRAINED NEARLY PURE CHROMITE CONTAINING A LITTLE UVAROVITE AND KAMMERERITE.
