Comment (Production): ORIG. WORKED PRIOR TO 1890; WORKED DUR. 1890'S. AFTER BEING IDLE MANY YEARS WAS REOPENED IN 1937 AND A NEW MILL WAS ERECTED. MINE OPERATED UNTIL 1940 AND HAS BEEN IDLE SINCE. THE ORE CONTAINED AS MUCH AS $11 PER TON IN GOLD.
Comment (Workings): A 250-FT. INCLINED SHAFT; 1,028 FT. ADIT; 480 FT. INCLINED WINZE WITH 3 LEVELS SUNK 328 FT. IN FROM PORTAL OF ADIT
Comment (Deposit): COMPRISES 16.42 ACRES. VEIN MATTER CONSISTS OF QUARTZ, FELDSPAR, CALCITE, AND PYRITE. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF SMALL OPEN CAVITIES IN THE VEIN IN WHICH EUHEDRAL QUARTZ CRYSTALS HAVE GROWN.
