Comment (Workings): IN EARLY 1956, AN OPEN CUT 20 FT. LONG, 20 FT. WIDE AND 15 FT. HIGH ON S. SLOPE OF A RIDGE.
Comment (Production): IN 1956 SEVERAL TONS OF ORE WERE MINED FOR MILLING TESTS. A NUMBER OF ANALYSIS SHOW THAT PARTS OF THE DEPOSIT CONTAIN FROM 1 TO 2 PERCENT WO3.
Comment (Deposit): THE TACTITE PINCHES OUT NEAR THE SURFACE AND WIDENS AT DEPTH; THE GREATEST WIDTH OF EXPOSED TACTITE IS ABOUT 12 FT. THE SCHEELITE IS IN THIN PARALLEL STREAKS NEAR THE CENTER OF THE TACTITE BODY. COUNTRY ROCK IS QUARTZITE AND MICA SCHIST OF THE CALAVERAS GROUP.
