Comment (Production): MINE ORIGINALLY OPERATED FOR GOLD BUT CHROMITE WAS FOUND IN THE COURSE OF DEVELOPMENT WORK. OPERATED BY L.H. BUTCHER CO. DURING WWI, WHEN 110 LONG TONS OF CHROMITE WERE SHIPPED IN 1917 AND AN UNKNOWN AMT. IN 1918; TAYLOR SHIPPED 64 LONG TONS OF ORE IN 1942. RESERVES ARE PROBABLY SMALL . SMALL VEINS OF CALCITE, TALC, AND KAMMERERITE ARE VERY NUMEROUS IN SPECIMENTS OF ORE FROM THE DUMP.
