Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: COUNTRY ROCK IS THIN BEDDED RADIOLARIAN CHERT, DISCOLORED BY STAINS AND FILMS OF BLACK MANGANESE OXIDE. ORE OCCURS AS POCKETS AND LENSES IN MASSIVE CHERT, AND MORE SILICEOUS ORE FORMS BOLD OUTCROPS. THE ORE BODY CAN BE TRACED FOR 300 FT, AND HAS A RUDE BANDING IN ITS UPPER PART.
Comment (Deposit): THE BEST ORE OCCURS IN POCKETS AND LENSES. A SAMPLE OF A HIGH-GRADE LENS CONTAINED 42.2% MANGANESE, 18.4% SILICA, AND 10.4% AVAILABLE OXYGEN.
