Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: OUTCROP ON RIDGE OF MANGANIFEROUS CHERT STRIKES E. AND DIPS 50 S. BEST ORE IS SOFT BLACK MANGANESE OXIDE THAT IS 35 PERCENT MANGANESE. MOST ORE IS SILICEOUS AND CUT BY NUMEROUS SMALL QUARTZ VEINS, AND IS ABOUT 15 PERCENT MANGANESE. THE OXIDES FORM THIN FILMS ALONG FRACTURES.

Comment (Deposit): THE BEST ORE IS A SOFT BLACK MANGANESE OXIDE CONTAINING ABOUT 35% MANGANESE. THE AMOUNT OF THIS ORE IS SMALL.AVERAGE GRADE OF ALL ORE IN SIGHT IS PROBABLY 15% MANGANESE.

Comment (Production): NO PRODUCTION. MANGANIFEROUS CHERT.
