Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: SILICEOUS IRON ORE WITH INTERBEDDED CHERT, AND SOME OPALINE IRON ORE. SOME LENSES OF MASSIVE CHERT CUT BY VEINLETS OF MANGANESE OXIDE ARE INTERCALATED IN THE IRON ORE. THE CHERT, PINK WITH POROUS TEXTURE, OR RED WITH RADIOLARION, OCCUR AS THIN BEDS IN IRON ORE PARTINGS. DEPOSIT IS SURROUNDED BY FRANCISCAN GREENSTONE.
