Comment (Production): LITTLE CAN BE FOUND OUT REGARDING PAST MINERAL PRODUCTION. TWO SURFACE CUTS EXPOSED 4 TO 10 FT. OF QUARTZ AND LEACHED MATERIAL HEAVILY STAINED BY IRON AND MANGANESE OXIDES; MIXTURE IS SAID TO HAVE ASSAYED $4 TO $8 PER TON IN GOLD.
Comment (Workings): SEVERAL OLD TUNNELS, CROSS-CUTS, SHAFTS, OPEN CUT; MORE RECENTLY A 40-FT. VERTICAL SHAFT WAS SUNK.
Comment (Deposit): CONSISTS OF THE LARGER PART OF ONE CLAIM, THE DOROTHY VIRGINIA, AND TWO FULL CLAIMS, THE BLUE BELL AND BLUE BELL NO. 1. PRINCIPAL VEIN IS THE BOYD, STRIKING THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE BLUE BELL CLAIM. IT IS A PROMINENT ZONE OF LIMONITE-STAINED, FRACTURED VUGGY QUARTZ WITH SILICIFIED WALL ROCK AND WALL ROCK BRECCIA.
