Comment (Deposit): TOPO MAP SHOWS 4 PROSPECTS & SHAFT COVERING AREA OF MORE THAN 20 ACRES. ONE CLAIM, 20 ACRES APPROX. IN THE MIDDLE 1880'S ORE WAS RUNNING ABOUT $30 PER TON, MOSTLY FROM NATIVE GOLD. AVE. CONTENT OF SULFIDES WAS ABOUT 2 1/2 PERCENT AURIFEROUS PYRITE CONCENTRATES RUNNING BETWEEN $100 AND $200 PER TON.
Comment (Production): PRINCIPAL PERIOD OF OPERATION 1885-1895 WHEN MOST OF WORKINGS WERE DRIVEN AND MOST OF PRODUCTION MADE. MINE OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY UNTIL 1935 BUT NO ACTIVE MINING HAS BEEN DONE SINCE. EST PRODUCTION IS ABOUT $1,500,000 BUT THERE ARE NO RECORDS TO SUBSTANTIATE THIS CLAIM. WORKINGS CAVED AND INACCESSIBLE IN 1954.
Comment (Workings): 8X10 FOOT INCLINED SHAFT 700 FT. DEEP WITH LEVELS AT INTERVALS OF 100 FT.; DRIFTS AGGREGATE MORE THAN 500 FT.
