Comment (Production): NO PRODUCTION. IDLE. THE BEST ORE FOUND CONTAINS LESS THAN 25 PERCENT MANGANESE AND IS RICH IN IRON.
Comment (Workings): TUNNEL 50-FT. LONG; OPEN CUTS AND PIT.
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: SILICEOUS MANGANESE OXIDE IN THIN BEDDED BRECCIATED RED AND BROWN CHERT. ORE IS BROWN AND DULLY RESINOUS (NEOTOCITE). SMALL VEINS OF MANGANESE CARBONATE CUT THE BROWN ORE. CHERT HAS BEEN SHEARED AND FAULTED. MUCH ORE IS PRESENT IN LANDSLIDE MATERIAL.
