Comment (Production): TWO CARLOADS OF ORE AVERAGING 47% MANGANESE AND 12% SILICA MINED FROM CUTS IN 1918. IDLE. SOME ORE REMAINS ON DUMPS; BEST ORE SEEN WAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF PSILOMELANE CONTAINING ABOUT 40 TO 45% MANGANESE.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: SMALL LEASES AND PATCHES OF SILICEOUS ENCLOSED IN BODIES OF MASSIVE RED TO GRAY CHERT, WHICH IS ENCLOSED IN RED RADIOLARIAN CHERTS AND SHALES THAT ARE CONTORTED AND CUT BY SMALL FAULTS. ORE IS BLACK OXIDE ORE AND PSILOMELANE.
