TO L. ; GEOL.DESC: MANGANESE ORE ENCLOSED IN WELL BEDDED RED CHERT WITH THIN SHALE PARTINGS, AND STRIKING N 60 W GENERALLY, WITH A GENERAL DIP OF 50 NE. CHERT IS FAULTED, HIGHLY CRUMPLED, DRAG FOLDED AND BRECCIATED. ORE IS SOME HIGH GRADE BLACK OXIDE AT PSILOMELANE AND PYROLUSITE, SOME CONTAIN CORES OF WHITE CHERT. SOME NEOTOCITE WITH RHODOCHROSITE VEINS IS PRESENT.

Comment (Deposit): VEIN EXPOSED IN TRENCH WAS 6 FT. WIDE.

Comment (Location): LOCATED IN SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SECTION 15

Comment (Production): IDLE. PAST PRODUCTION REPORTED AS 250 TONS. A FEW POCKETS OF HIGH-GRADE ORE STILL REMAIN.

Comment (Workings): TRENCH 18 FT. LONG, 10-FT. WIDE AND 10 TO 20 FT. DEEP.
