Comment (Deposit): GOSSAN, LIMONITE AND IRON - STAINED RHYOLITE CROPS OUT FOR 1/2 MILE, IT IS 300 FT. WIDE IN PLACES.

Comment (Commodity): MAIN BODY SAID TO BE HEMATITE.

Comment (Production): ORIGINALLY WORKED AS COPPER PROSPECT; PRODUCTION LESS THAN 100,000 POUNDS. CURRENT PRODUCT IS USED FOR MAKING "BOX CAR RED" PAINT. IN AUG. 1940, 3 MEN WERE MINING 10 TONS OF ORE DAILY. CALCINED PRODUCT MAINLY FE2O3. GOLD CONTENT NOT SUFFICIENT TO JUSTIFY WORK. WORKING SEASON IS ABOUT 3 MONTHS.

Comment (Workings): OLD WORKINGS, 250-FT. VERT. SHAFT, 2-COMP., 2300 FT. OF DRIFTS. HAND MINING OF GOSSAN IN 1940.

Comment (Deposit): COMPRISED OF 120 ACRES.
