THICK ARE SEPARATED BY BARREN ZONE IN BELT OF MASSIVE CHERT 200 FT. THICK. ORE CAN BE TRACED ALONG STRIKE FOR 40 FT. ORE ON N. SIDE OF MINERALIZED ZONE IS RICHER, ABOUT 40 PERCENT MANGANESE. IT CONSISTS OF BLACK OXIDES AT SURFACE, TO RHODOCHROSITE, HAUSMANNITE AND BEMENTITE WITH DEPTH. S. PART OF ORE ZONE IS MAINLY MANGANIFEROUS CHERT OR NEOTOCITE, ABOUT 15 PERCENT MANGANESE.
