Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: LARGE BLOCK OF PARTLY OXIDIZED MANGANESE CARBONATE CONSISTS OF DARK REDDISH BLACK ORE, PROBABLY A MIXTURE OF HAUSMANNITE AND SILICA. PRIMARY ORE WAS REPLACED BY GRAY CARBONATE AND CUT BY VEINS OF RHODOCHROSITE AND NATIVE COPPER. BLOCK MAY BE FAULTED REMNANT OF MORE EXTENSIVE ORE BODY, OR FLOAT. COUNTRY ROCK IN VICINITY IS FAULTED AND FOLDED THIN-BEDDED SHALY CHERT.
