Comments
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY PERIDOTITE AND MINOR AMOUNTS OF DUNITE. LOCALLY THESE ULTRAMAFIC ROCKS HAVE BEEN SERPENTINIZED AND HIGH ON THE RIDGE, ESPECIALLY ABOVE THE 4000 FT. CONTOUR IN AN AREA SURROUNDING THE LOOKOUT, OCCURS A LATERITE MANTLE. LATERITE IS REDDISH-BROWN, VERY ROCKY AND PROBABLY NO MORE THAN 3 FT. IN DEPTH. THIN VEINLETS OF GARNIERITE WERE FOUND.
Comment (Location): RIDGE HAS SURFACE OF LOW RELIEF, BUT BELOW 4000 FT. CONTOUR THE SLOPES STEEPEN TO AS MUCH AS 1800 FT. PER MI., UTM APPROX. LOC.
Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: EARLY 1950'S
