Comment (Workings): CROSSCUT TUNNEL N 15 E FOR 512 FT. 104 FT. FROM PORTAL INTERSECTED BURCHAM VEIN DRIFTS 200 FT SE AND 640 FT. NW, 150 FT. SHAFT AT INTERSECTION OF VEIN, TWO RAISES TO SURFACE. MULCAHY VEIN INTERSECTED BY CROSSCUT TUNNEL, DRIFTS 500 FT. NW AND 240 FT. SE

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ROCKS COMPRISE A CLOSELY RELATED SERIES OF TERITARY FLOWS AND ASSOCIATED TUFFS, CONGLOMERATES, OR BRECCIA. CUT BY NUMEROUS DIKES AND IRREGULAR INTRUSIONS OF RHYOLITE AND OTHER ROCKS. OLDEST, MOST IMPORTANT ORE-BEARING FORMATION IS AN INTERBEDDED SERIES OF RHYOLITE FLOWS, INCLUDING BRECCIAS, MASSIVE TUFFS, PORPHYRITIC FLOWS, BANDED FLOWS AND WATER-LAID DEPOSITS OF SEVERAL KINDS OF VOLCANIC DEBRIS, INCLUDING WELL-LAMINATED SILTS.
