Comment (Production): DURING EARLY 1940'S SOME COPPER ORE WAS MINED, ORIGINALLY WORKED FOR GOLD IN 1860'S. 75 TONS OF ORE WAS STOCKPILED PRIOR TO 1945. SMALL PRODUCTION OF CU-ZN DURING 1951

Comment (Deposit): MASSIVE SULFIDE BANDS SEVERAL FEET IN THICKNESS HAVE EVIDENTLY REPLACED THE GREEN TUFFACEOUS ROCK.

Comment (Workings): TWO COMPARTMENT 100 FT. SHAFT INCLINED TO EAST. A NORTH-TRENDING 173 FT. ADIT, DRIVEN AS A CROSSCUT FOR 46 FT. AND AS A DRIFT FOR 127 FT., CONNECTS WITH THE SHAFT ON THE 50 FT. LEVEL, 128 FT. FROM ADIT PORTAL ON 100 FT. LEVEL THERE DRIFTS EXTENDING 35 FT, TO THE NORTH AND 10 FT. TO THE SOUTH.

Comment (Deposit): U.S. BUREAU OF MINES EXPLORED WITH 1,613 FT. OF DRILL HOLES.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: COUNTY ROCK IS MARIPOSA SLATE WITH SMALL AMOUNTS OF FINE-GRAINED GREEN TUFFACEOUS ROCK INTERBEDDED WITH SLATE.
