Comments

Comment (Deposit): 6 VEINS, PRINCIPAL COPPER VEIN IS 5 FT. WIDE, STRIKES N 5 E AND DIPS VERTICALLY. NEAR-SURFACE EVIDENCE IT APPEARS THAT AN ORE SHOOT WAS FORMED AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE 5 FT. VEIN AND SHEETED ZONE 6 FT. WIDE, STRIKES N 70 E, DIP VARIES FROM 42 - 60 NW. LIMONITE GOSSAN 16 INCHES THICK OCCURS ALONG THE HANGING WALL OF THE SHEETED ZONE.

Comment (Workings): 200 FT. SINGLE-COMPARTMENT INCLINED SHAFT WITH LEVELS DRIVEN NW AT 95 , 135 AND 185 FT. DEPTHS. 250 FT. NORTH OF INCLINED SHAFT, TWO VERTICAL SHAFTS SUNK ON CONTINUATION OF SAME (?) VEIN, ONE SHAFT 240 FT. DEEP WITH LEVELS AT 100 , 140 AND 200 FT. A 200 FT. WINZE WAS SUNK IN THE MAIN ORE SHOOT AT AN INCLINATION OF 45 DEG. FROM 200 LEVEL. OTHER WORKINGS INCLUDE FIVE SMALL PROSPECT PITS AND A CAVED ADIT.

Comment (Location): NE 1/4 SEC. 3 , NW 1/4 SEC. 2 , UTM EST

Comment (Production): MILL ORE RANGED FROM 2 - 8 % CU, AND 2 OZ. AG/TON NO MINING DONE SINCE 1918 .

Comment (Commodity): MASSIVE SULFIDE ORE ON DUMP IS PRIMARLY COMPOSED OF CHALCOPYRITE WITH MINOR PYRITE CUT BY VEINLETS OF SOOTY CHALCOCITE.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY BIOTITE-HORNBLENDE GRANODIORITE WHICH CONTAINS INCONSPICUOUS QUARTZ VEINS AND NARROW APLITE DIKES. BOTH APLITE DIKES AND VEINS ARE CUT AND DISPLACED ALONG MINERALIZED SHEARS. SHEETED ZONE IS PARALLEL TO JOINT SYSTEMS IN THE GRANODIORITE. BOTH WALLS OF THE 5 FT. VEIN ARE MARKED BY SLICKENSIDED SURFACES WITH SPARE MINERALIZATION EXTENDING INTO THE WALL ROCK.
