Comments
Comment (Deposit): MRDS RECORD M008723 HAS BEEN MERGED WITH THIS RECORD AND DELETED
Comment (Deposit): NO OTHER INFORMATION AVAILABLE-NO PRODUCTION REPORTED-ASSUMED PIGMENT FOR MINERAL PAINT WAS PRODUCED. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
Comment (Commodity): SOME OF THE ORE USED FOR MINERAL PAINT
Comment (Deposit): 8 FT WIDE VEIN WAS EXPOSED YEARS AGO; IT CONTAINED NUMEROUS THIN SEAMS OF CALCITE. 1 MI NORTH IS A VEIN OF POSSIBLY BETTER GRADE. LARGE MASSES OF FLOAT BETWEEN THE TWO LOCALITIES INDICATE A THIRD VEIN.
Comment (Geology): OGLE SAYS THIS IS 10 FT BOLDER IN FALSE CAPE SHEAR ZONE. SO-CALLED HEMATITE IS PROBABLY LIMONITE
