Comment (Development): FIRST WORKED AS A GOLD MINE IN THE LATE 1800'S. TUNGSTEN WAS DISCOVERED ABOUT 1930, AFTER WHICH IT WAS OPERATED FOR A SHORT TIME BY THE NEVADA-MASSACHUSETTS CO., AND LATER IN 1942-43 BY THE GILDED AGE MINING CO.

Comment (Deposit): GOLD CAME FROM A NARROW QUARTZ VEIN. SCHEELITE OCCURS IN A NARROW QUARTZ VEIN ALONG A FAULT CUTTING SEDIMENTARY ROCKS, AND IN ALTERED LIMESTONE ADJACENT TO THE VEIN.
Comment (Workings): NARROW SHAFT 211 FT DEEP WITH ABOUT 1000 FT OF DRIFTS, CROSSCUTS AND RAISES ON 3 LEVELS AT 100, 150, AND 200 FEET.
