About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Geology): ORE IN 2 ZONES OF RED JASPEROID A WESTERN ZONE 500 FEET LONG AND 150 FEET WIDE, EASTERN ZONE IS SMALLER NARROW N60W STRINGERS AND CREVICES CARRY OXIDIZED AG MINERALS
Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS PENETRATE A LARGE SILICIFIED OUTCROP ON THE BRADSHAW FAULT ZONE. THE SILICIFIED ROCK DIPS ABOUT 35 NE AND IS ELONGATE NW-SE PARALLEL TO THE FAULT ZONE. THE ROCK IS SIMILAR TO THAT IN THE ATLANTA MINE EXCEPT THAT IT HAS FEWER OPEN SPACES. BRECCIA FRAGMENTS APPEAR TO BE COMPLETELY SILICIFIED CARBONATE ROCK. THE DEEPEST PORTIONS OF THE MINE PENETRATE CARBONATE BEDS WHICH HAVE BEEN SILICIFIED INTACT WITH ONLY MINOR BRECCIATION. NO SULFIDE MINERALS WERE FOUND BUT LIMONITE PRESENT IN OPEN SPACES HAS PROBABLY BEEN DERIVED FROM OXIDATION OF PYRITE. SAMPLING DONE BY STANDARD SLAG CO INDICATES WIDESPREAD AU AND AG MINERALIZATION PRESENT AT THE BRADSHAW MINE.INU VISIBLE U MINERALS ARE PRESENT, BUT A RADIOMETRIC SURVEY OF THE MINE DUMP IN 1978 INDICATES ANOMALOUS RADIOACTIVITY.
Comment (Workings): LARGE OPEN PIT AND AN INCLINED SHAFT DEVELOPED ON THE WESTERN JASPEROID ZONE. ONE ADIT WITH ABOUT 150 FT OF WORKINGS. ONE DRIFT IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE FAULT ZONE AND 2 DRIFTS PARALLEL THE FAULT ZONE.. ONE ADIT WITH ABOUT 150 FT OF WORKINGS. ONE DRIFT IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE FAULT ZONE AND 2 DRIFTS PARALLEL THE FAULT ZONE.
