Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS ALONG FOUR MAIN VEINS. VEIN A STRIKES N 65 W, DIPS 27 - 55 SW; VEIN B STRIKES N 55 - 70 W, DIPS 25 - 70 NE; VEIN P STRIKES N 30 - 80 W, DIPS 25 - 60 NE; AND A TROUGH SHAPED P-BRANCH VEIN PLUNGES 30 SE WITH BOTH FLANKS DIPPING 30 DEG TOWARD AXIS OF TROUGH
Comment (Workings): NUMEROUS INCLINED SHAFTS, ADITS WITH SEVERAL MILES OF WORKINGS. MANY SHAFTS AND ADITS SATELLITIC TO MAIN PAMLICO MINE AREA.
Comment (Geology): GOLD VALUES IN VEINS ARE ERRATIC; REPORTEDLY SOME VEINS WERE FOLLOWED FOR 300 FT. WITHOUT FINDING ANY ORE. MOST VEINS NOW EXPOSED UNDERGROUND ARE BARREN.
Comment (Deposit): IN 1912 , MINOR PLACER MINING IN CANYON BELOW MINE YIELDED $8,000 IN GOLD. SOME PLACER WORK WAS REPORTED BETWEEN 1915 AND 1917 , THE GRAVELS BEING WORKED THROUGH DRIFTS AND SHAFTS.
Comment (Location): CENTRALIZED LOCATION WITHIN CLUSTER OF SHAFTS, ADITS AND PROSPECTS WHICH COMPRISE THE PAMLICO MINES
Comment (Commodity): GOLD REPORTEDLY FORMED WIRES AND NUGGETS IN THE VEINS AND WAS ASSOCIATED WITH PYRITIC PORTIONS OF VEINS
