Comments
Comment (Location): 1/2 MI NORTH OF MONARCH MINE SHARING TOPO. HIGH UTM COORDINATES GENERALIZED
Comment (Deposit): CONTACT ZONE OF FINE-GRAINED DIORITE DIKE WITH LIMESTONE. DIORITE DIKE TRENDS N30E. LIMESTONE IN AREA HAS IRREGULAR PATCHES OF BLEACHING AND MARBLE, AND IS LACED WITH QUARTZ VEINLETS & CLOTS OF CRYSTALLINE CALCITE. VEIN CONTAINS LIMONITE AND HEMATITE FILLING IN THE BOXWORK.
Comment (Workings): 13 OR MORE SHAFTS, NUMEROUS ADITS, PITS AND SCRAPINGS
Comment (Geology): SERIES OF PITS AND ADITS ARE ON QUARTZ VEINS CONCENTRATED ALONG THE CONTACT BETWEEN A DIORITE AND LIMESTONE. WEAK EPIDOTE-PYROXENE SKARN OCCURS LOCALLY. THE DIORITE IS FINE-TO MEDIUM GRAINED, AND PERVASIVELY CHLORITIZED AND PYRITIZED (GONE TO FE-OXIDE). QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL CONSISTS OF VUGGY C.G. TERMINATED QUARTZ (COMB QUARTZ) AND LARGE AMOUNTS OF GREEN CHLORITE AND LIMONITIC FE-OXIDE. THE DIORITE-LIMESTONE CONTACT EXPOSED IN SHAFTS APPEARS SHEARED. QUARTZ VEINS ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY OCCUR IN THE DIORITE AND NOT IN THE LIMESTONE.
Comment (Deposit): MATERIAL ON THE SHAFT DUMP IS WHITE VEIN QUARTZ WITH BOXWORKS AND CLOTS OF GOSSAN ALONG WITH MASSIVE JASPER/GOSSAN. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
