Comment (Development): IN 1890'S GRAVEL WAS HAULED TO RABBIT HOLE SPRINGS TO BE WORKED. DEPOSITS WERE NOT WORKED AGAIN UNTIL AFTER 1928, SINCE WHICH THEY HAVE BEEN INTERMITTENTLY MINED TO PRESENT.. IN 1984, WORTH, INC. OF SAN DIEGO HAD A LARGE AMOUNT OF EQUIPMENT AND SOME PEOPLE ON THE SITE, BUT MINING WAS DE-LAYED PENDING DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONAL WATER RESOURCES. PROPE-RTY IS LISTED AS AN ACTIVE GOLD MINING AND MILLING OPERATION I-N 1984, EMPLOYING 3 PERSONS

MINING WAS PRINCIPALLY BY SMALL SCALE HAND METHODS. DEPOSITS NOT WORKED AGAIN UNTIL AFTER 1928. EQUIPMENT WAS INSTALLED IN 1929 TO WORK PLACERS ON A LARGE SCALE. DEPOSITS WORKED INTERMITTENTLY SINCE. NUMEROUS PITS, CUTS & TRENCHES CAN STILL BE SEEN IN THE AREA. A RECENT TRENCH IS 1000 FT. LONG, 25 FT.
