Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comment (Location): IN MAJUBA CANYON ACCESSIBLE VIA GOOD ROADS WEST OF IMLAY
Comment (Production): THERE ARE 5,200 TONS REPORTED ON THE MINE DUMP THAT AVERAGE 17 OZ AG/TON AND 8% PB (1936)
Comment (Development): A WATCHPERSON FOR OWNER, FRANK STRODE, WAS ON THE PREMISES IN 1984, ALSO KEEPS AN EYE ON THE UPPER MINES.

Comment (Deposit): IN 1920 THE LAST CHANCE PROPERTY WAS ACQUIRED BY A GROUP FROM FRESNO, CALIF. IN 1935 THE PROPERTY WAS TAKEN OVER BY DETROIT INTERESTS. FROM 1906 TO 1928 IT WAS REPORTED TO HAVE HAD 1000 TONS OF ORE SHIPPED FROM THE PROPERTY AVERAGING 40 OZ/TON AG AND 8% PB. THE LAST CHANCE MINE IS DEVELOPED BY AN 830 FT. DEEP. THREE MINERALIZED VEINS AVERAGING 4 FEET IN WIDTH ARE EXPOSED IN THE TUNNEL. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
