Comment (Geology): DEPOSIT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTHERN HALF OF A N-NW TRENDING BELT OF PERIDOTITE EXPOSED OVER AN AREA APPROX. 2 MILES BY 5 MILES AND IS BORDERED BY PALEOZOIC METAMORPHICS AND TERTIARY VOLCANICS.

Comment (Location): THE WORKINGS ARE LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF THE SUGAR PINE RD, ABOUT 1.1 MILES WEST OF THE OLD SUGAR PINE GUARD STATION

Comment (Development): A SMALL MILL WAS BUILT TO CONCENTRATE DETRITAL CHROMITE FROM SOIL BUT WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE THE MILL COULD NOT SEPARATE LIMONITIC COATING FROM THE CHROMITE

Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT CONSISTED OF CHROMITE BOULDERS, FRAGMENTS AND DETRITUS IN THE WEATHERED RESIDUAL SOIL, UP TO 15 FT THICK IN SOME PLACES.
