Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS (1918) CONSISTED OF 4 ADITS RANGING IN DEPTH FROM 50 TO 185 FT. NUMEROUS SMALL OPEN CUTS AND PITS ARE SCATTERED OVER THE AREA.
Comment (Geology): DEPOSIT OCCURS IN AN ELONGATE ULTRAMAFIC MASS EXPOSED IN WESTERN METAMORPHIC BELT OF SIERRA NEVADA FOOTHILLS. A THICK MANTLE OF SLOPE WASH AND HEAVY VEGETATION COVERS MUCH OF THE GEOLOGY.
Comment (Deposit): INVERSE NODULAR ORE, CONSISTING OF NONULES OF BARREN DUNITE CONTAINED IN A MATRIX OF NEARLY PURE DISSEMINATED CHROMITE, IS PRESENT IN THIS DEPOSIT. THE CHROMITE DEPOSITS ARE DISCONTINUOUS ALONG THE ABOVE AVERAGE STRIKE.
