Comment (Development): SHAFT SUNK IN 1880'S TO CUT VEIN AT 240 FT. WINZE SUNK TO 300 FT. LEVEL EXPOSING RICH ORE. SOME ORE WAS SHIPPED. MORE ORE DISCOVERED BY DRIFTING IN 1928, ON 300-FT. LEVEL, ANDE MORE ORE AT THE 360 FT. LEVEL PRODUCTION RECORDED ONLY FOR 1933.

Comment (Workings): SHAFT, WINZE, DRIFTS

Comment (Deposit): A SHAFT WAS SUNK IN THE 1980'S IN THE HANGING WALL AND ACCORDING TO NEWSPAPERS THE VEIN WAS CUT AT 240 FEET. A WINZE WAS SUNK ON IT TO THE 300 FOOT LEVEL EXPORING A WIDE VEIN WITH RICH ORE ON THE FONT WALL. SOME ORE WAS SHIPPED IN 1928 A STRONG WIDTH OF MINERALIZATION WAS DISCOVERED BY DRIFTS AT THE 300 FT LEVEL, THIS WAS SULFIDE ORE ASSAYED FROM $2 TO $200 PER TON WITH A RATIO OF MILLING GRADE MADE UP OF BARREN WHITE QUARTZ SURROUNDED BY BLACK QUARTZ CARRYING SILVER SULFIDES. IN 1933 THE COMPANY REPORTED A PRODUCTION OF 550 TONS OF A GROSS VALUE OF $3,924. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Development): MOST PRODUCTION WAS FROM ABOVE THE 2000 FT. LEVEL UNTIL AFTER 1909 WHEN NEW ORE BODIES WERE DISCOVERED ON THE EAST VEIN. ORE WAS MINED FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS FROM THE 2300. FT TO THE 2500 FT. LEVEL, AS WELL AS THE 2000-FT LEVEL.

Comment (Deposit): ONE OF THE NORTH END MINES OF THE COMSTOCK LODE. MOST OF THE PRODUCTION CAME FROM ABOVE THE 2000-FT LEVEL UNTIL AFTER 1909 WHEN NEW ORE BODIES WERE DISCOVERED ON THE EAST VEIN. ORE WAS MINED FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS FROM THE 2300 FT LEVEL TO THE 2500-FT LEVEL, AND A VEIN ON THE 2000-FT LEVEL PRODUCED ORE. TOTAL PRODUCTION, 1867-1918 WAS 54,047 TONS ORE WITH AN AVERAGE VALUE OF $23.80 PER TON.
