Comment (Deposit): THE CHANNEL EXTENDS EASTWARD FROM THE LODE MINING AREA FOR 4 MILES. IN THE UPPER 2.5 MILES THE GRAVELS AVERAGE 25 FT. WIDE AND 10 TO 28 FT. DEEP. THE PAY STREAK WAS THE FIRST 1.5 FT. OF ALLUVIUM LYING ON BEDROCK.

Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS CONSIST OF A NUMBER OF CUTS, PITS, TRENCHES, AND SHAFTS. INDICATED RESERVES ARE IN EXCESS OF 1 MILLION CU. YDS. THE CHANNEL EXTENDS EASTWARD FROM THE LODE MINING AREA FOR FOUR MILES. IN THE UPPER 2.5 MILES THE GRAVELS AVERAGE 25 FT. WIDE AND 10 TO 28 FT. DEEP. THE PAY STREAK WAS THE FIRST 1.5 FT. OF ALLUVIUM LYING ON BEDROCK. THE CHANNEL WAS BEING WORKED BY THE URA GOLD MINES CO. IN 1952. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Geology): THE GOLD IS PROBABLY DERIVED FROM MINERALIZED SHEAR ZONES IN CHERT AND SHALE OF THE VININI FORMATION. THE GOLD RECOVERED IS VERY FINE AVERAGING 920 TO 960.
