Comment (Development): IT WAS DISCOVERED ABOUT 1912 BY A PROSPECTOR GRUBSTAKED BY MR. MILLETT, A STOREKEEPER AT MANHATTAN. IT BECAME A MAJOR MINE IN THE DISTRICT WHEN OLYMPIC MINES CO. ACQUIRED IT IN 1921 AND ORGANIZED THE WARRIOR GOLD MINING CO. IT WAS THEN ACQUIRED BY THE ALLADIN-DIVIDE MINING CO. WHICH SANK A NEW SHAFT500 FT WEST OF THE OLD 200-FT SHAFT, TO A DEPTH OF 110 FT. THE PROPERTY WAS ABANDONED IN 1940. WORKED INTERMITTENTLY UNTIL 1946. ACTIVE DRILL RIG JUST SOUTH OF THE MINE WHEN EXAMINED IN 1986.
