Comments

Comment (Development): THE MINE WAS MOST DEVELOPED IN 1868 AT A SHALLOW LEVEL. IN 1959-60 SOME EXPLORATORY WORK WAS DONE AND ONE SHAFT WAS SUNK TO 1000 FT DEPTH. THE BELMONT MINE CO. EXPLORED A RICH ORE ZONE OFF THE 1000 FT LEVEL, BUT SHUT DOWN UNDERGROUND EXPLORATION IN 1960 IN FAVOR OF SURFACE DRILLING.

Comment (Deposit): EL DORADA VEIN VEIN PINCHES AND SWELLS.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF A 425 FT INCLINE SHAFT WITH 2,000 FT OF LATERALS.
