Comment (Development): DISTRICT WAS DISCOVERED IN 1863 BY S. BOULEROND AND A PARTY OF FRENCHMEN. FROM 1866TO 1868, THE VEIN WAS EXPLOITED BY THE TWIN RIVER MINING CO. THE MINE CLOSED AND REOPENED IN 1875. IT OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY UNTIL 1890. IT REOPENED IN 1917, WAS TAKEN OVER BY NEVADA OPHIR CO. IN 1918, AND HAD A SMALL PRODUCTION IN 1923. THE PROPERTY CONSISTS OF 8 CLAIMS.
